What’s a “Share”?

A Share is our 3-month prepaid subscription to Tall Grass Food Box. Each box includes 7–9 fresh items, with your choice of eggs or mushrooms. Every other box also comes with a special add-on—sometimes a unique fruit or vegetable, other times a gift from a fellow Black-owned business.

Buying a Share is more than just a subscription—it’s an investment in the seasonal cycles of the Black Farmers we partner with. It helps distribute risk between grower and consumer, giving our Farmers the confidence to plan, plant, and experiment with specialty crops, knowing they have a committed community behind them.

And yes—WE PAY THE FARMERS WE WORK WITH.

To build a more equitable Black food system, we purchase produce at or near retail value, even when buying wholesale, because dignity and sustainability go hand in hand.

Any unclaimed boxes will be donated at the end of the pickup window to minimize food waste and support local food access efforts.
